Copy Files from a Mobile Phone

This guide shows you step by step how to access your mobile phone's files using AllSync.

1. Install WebDAV Server

  1. Install the free WebDAV server app on your mobile phone.
  2. Open the Google Play Store on your mobile phone.
  3. Search for the WebDAV server app by the developer The Olive Tree.
  4. Install the app.
  5. If the app is not visible in the Play Store on your device, you can also install it directly via the Google Play website.

2. Start WebDAV Server

  1. Open the WebDAV Server app.
  2. Start the server by tapping the large red Start button.
  3. Once started, the button turns green and the server's IP address appears below it. Example: http://192.168.1.114:8080

3. Profile Settings in AllSync

  1. Open the profile you want to use to access the files.
  2. Select Folders from the menu.
  3. Click the Enter folder path manually button in the toolbar above the source folder list.
  4. Enter the address, port, and folder path you want to access on your mobile phone in the text field. Example: \\192.168.1.114@8080

4. Connect Network Drive (optional)

  1. You can also connect the server as a network drive to conveniently access all files on your mobile phone via a drive letter.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and right-click on Network.
  3. Select Map network drive... from the context menu.
  4. Enter the server's IP address and port in the Folder field.
    Example: \\192.168.1.114@8080
  5. Enable the option Reconnect at logon.
  6. Click the Finish button.

5. Important Note

To access the files, your mobile phone and the computer running AllSync must be on the same network.
