File Lock Tool

With the File Lock Tool you can check which process is blocking access to a file. The File Lock Tool can be called up via the AllSync menu bar under the menu item Tools and is available from the AllSync Professional Edition.

How to use:

1. Select a file using the ... button.
2. Click the Check button to determine the blocking process.

The following information about the blocking process will be displayed:

• The name of the process
• The process ID
• The complete file path of the process

Notes:

• The blocking process is identified only if error 32 or 33 occurs when opening the file.
• If you get error 5 when checking, then the user account with which AllSync was started does not have sufficient access rights to open the file.
